Man slightly injured in Mannheim knife attack
A 24-year-old man was slightly injured in a physical confrontation at Mannheim's Alter Messplatz. The incident occurred shortly after 23:00 on Wednesday evening near the stairways leading down to Neckarwiese. The 24-year-old and a 36-year-old man told police that they had been attacked by unknown people and that a knife had been used. The younger man sustained a cut wound and was taken to hospital for treatment, while the 36-year-old was uninjured. The attackers fled towards Neckarwiese. Police are investigating suspected dangerous bodily harm and seeking witnesses.
