Man seriously injured with knife at Haunetal-Neukirchen station
Police say a 21-year-old man was seriously injured at Haunetal-Neukirchen station on 30 April. According to the current investigation, a woman known to him and two other people first assaulted him with punches, kicks and pepper spray. The attackers allegedly then transported him in a car boot to an unknown location, attacked him again and injured him with a knife. They subsequently continued towards Thuringia, where the man escaped at a service station and alerted police. He was taken to hospital. Three suspects were arrested, and investigators are treating the case as attempted homicide.
