Man seriously injured in knife stabbing at Hanover Central Station

A 23-year-old man was seriously injured in a knife stabbing at Hanover Central Station on Thursday morning. Police said he had argued with a 34-year-old man outside a grocery store at about 04:30. Around an hour later, the confrontation escalated and the 34-year-old allegedly stabbed the other man with a pocketknife. Police said the 23-year-old in turn slightly injured the other man with his fists and a mop. Officers arrested the suspect nearby after he fled and secured the suspected weapon. The seriously injured man was taken to hospital, and police are investigating mutual dangerous bodily harm.
