Man undergoes surgery after stabbing injuries at Pankow station

A 30-year-old man underwent surgery after sustaining multiple stab injuries to his torso during an altercation outside Pankow U-Bahn and S-Bahn station. Police said a 35-year-old man is alleged to have punched him in the face at about 17:50 on 19 June, before the older man allegedly injured him after a subsequent scuffle. The injured man remained in hospital, and police said there was no known danger to his life. The 35-year-old was detained, processed by police and later released from custody. Criminal police are investigating.
