Man remanded after knife attack at Hamburg accommodation

A 51-year-old man was injured in the upper body with a knife after a dispute at accommodation in Hamburg-Bahrenfeld. Police say a 29-year-old fellow resident is suspected of attacking him at about 21:35 on 23 March.

The injured man was taken to hospital with an emergency doctor and underwent emergency surgery; police said his life was not in danger. Officers provisionally arrested the 29-year-old on the accommodation grounds. Investigators classified the case as attempted homicide, and a judge issued an arrest warrant. The investigation is continuing.
