Man threatens driver with knife in Gorxheimertal
Following an alleged theft from a parked van in Unter-Flockenbach, a 21-year-old is said to have stopped the car of a 34-year-old while fleeing on the evening of 6 November. According to police, he got into the vehicle and threatened the driver with a knife to force him to continue driving. A police trainee who happened to be nearby overpowered the suspect with help from other passers-by and held him until police arrived. The man sustained minor injuries, received medical treatment and was provisionally detained. He was released after police measures were completed and is being investigated, including on suspicion of coercion and making threats.
