Man arrested after two knife attacks in Freiburg
A 30-year-old man is alleged to have attacked two men with a knife in Freiburg within days. On Sunday, he allegedly suddenly attacked and seriously injured a 29-year-old near Schlossbergring; the victim escaped onto the street. On Tuesday evening, the same suspect is alleged to have attacked a 74-year-old in the Rieselfeld district in public. The 74-year-old died, and the suspect was arrested that evening. A suspected weapon was secured near the second crime scene. Police and prosecutors continue to investigate the circumstances and seek witnesses to both incidents.
