Man allegedly threatened passers-by with knife in Frankfurt (Oder)
On the afternoon of 18 August, a man allegedly pulled a knife following an argument with a 54-year-old man at Winterhafen in Frankfurt (Oder) and made stabbing motions towards him. The man fled and, according to police, was pursued for some time. Police said the suspect had previously threatened a Ukrainian lorry driver nearby with a knife. Officers later located him in Ziegelstraße and provisionally detained him. The circumstances of the incident remain under investigation.
