Man points razor blade at police officers outside Ettlingen court
Outside Ettlingen District Court on May 2, a 38-year-old man pointed a razor blade at attending police officers. At about 10:10 a.m., officers had noticed the man shouting loudly after he had injured his own upper body with the blade. They ordered him to put down the object while warning that firearms could be used. After additional patrol officers arrived, he allowed himself to be arrested without resistance. He was taken to hospital for treatment of his self-inflicted injuries, and placement in a psychiatric facility was being considered.
