19-year-old injured with stabbing weapon in Essen
A 19-year-old man was injured in the legs with a stabbing weapon during an altercation in Essen in the early hours of 30 March. The incident was preceded by a verbal dispute between him and two unidentified women in the car park of a fast-food restaurant on Hans-Böckler-Straße. A group of about eight men then approached him; after one allegedly struck him in the face, the 19-year-old tried to flee to his vehicle. Before he could drive away, one man allegedly attacked him with the stabbing weapon. The suspected attacker fled in a light-blue SUV. Police are investigating on suspicion of dangerous bodily harm and are seeking witnesses.
