Man threatens police officers with axe in Esslingen
A 40-year-old man in Esslingen is alleged to have taken an axe and held it up threateningly toward police officers after a dispute involving his former partner and her daughter. Police had initially been called to the residence over a verbal argument and later physical altercations with the daughter. After officers issued the man with an order to leave, he allegedly returned. In a garage, he took hold of the axe and put it aside only after repeated instructions. Officers brought him to the ground, handcuffed him and held him in custody until the following morning.
