Man threatens police officers with kitchen knife in Duisburg
During an enforcement operation on Andreas-Hofer-Straße in Duisburg on 7 May at about 10:30 a.m., a 40-year-old tenant allegedly threatened police officers with a knife. The officers had attended with a bailiff as part of administrative assistance after the man blocked access to his flat. When officers tried to move him aside, police said he stated that he had a knife concealed on him. Officers restrained him, found a large kitchen knife during a search and seized it. On the way to police custody, he allegedly damaged property in the patrol car, struck, spat at and kicked officers. Criminal proceedings were initiated.
