Man threatens railway security staff with knife at Dortmund central station

A 37-year-old man allegedly threatened Deutsche Bahn security staff with a pocketknife at Dortmund central station at about 11:30 a.m. on 22 September. After security staff approached him over an existing ban from the premises and accompanied him toward the underground station area, he allegedly took the knife from a bag, opened it and held it threateningly in front of them. He allegedly said he would kill and stab the security staff. Alerted federal police secured and confiscated the pocketknife. The man was ordered to leave and, according to federal police, faces allegations including threats, insult, trespass and a weapons-law violation.
