Woman injured in knife attack at Bremen hostel
A 39-year-old woman sustained facial injuries in a knife attack at a homeless hostel on Friedrich-Rauers-Straße in Bremen at around 22:40 on 19 October 2026. Police say she had repeatedly knocked on the door of her 67-year-old neighbour, who then allegedly attacked her without warning. The injured woman was taken to hospital; her life was not in danger. Officers arrested the 67-year-old suspect at the hostel and seized the suspected weapon. She was referred for a psychiatric assessment, and the investigation continues.
