Teenager seriously injured in knife attack in Barth
A teenager required emergency surgery after a confrontation in Barth. He suffered stab and cut wounds to his abdomen on the evening of Monday, 19 October 2026, in a supermarket car park on Lange Straße. According to initial findings, a 21-year-old man allegedly drew a knife during a dispute and injured him. The teenager was subsequently in a critical but not life-threatening condition. The suspect initially fled but was later located and provisionally detained by police. He is under investigation on suspicion of causing dangerous bodily harm; investigators are also examining possible drug influence.
