Two men injured with an edged weapon during dispute in Bremen

A 23-year-old man and his 20-year-old companion were injured by stabbing during an altercation in Bremen's Steintor district on 20 March. According to police, the 23-year-old became involved in a dispute with a then-unidentified man at the corner of Vor dem Steintor and Helenenstraße. The man allegedly drew an edged weapon, believed to have been a knife, and stabbed the 23-year-old. The companion was also injured several times when he tried to intervene. The 20-year-old suffered serious injuries and the 23-year-old minor injuries. Following investigations, specialist officers arrested a 30-year-old suspect on Thursday evening; he was taken into custody and was due to appear before a remand judge.
