Cyclist threatens police officers with knife in Böblingen
A 62-year-old cyclist held a knife towards police officers during a traffic stop on Parkstraße in Böblingen on 20 March. Officers had stopped him after he allegedly ran a red light. Police said he became increasingly aggressive during the check. Officers used pepper spray, subdued him and disarmed him. Because he appeared to be in a psychological crisis, he was taken to a hospital's psychiatric department. No one was injured.
