Machete thrown at a man's feet
Police were called to Binz beach at about 3:30 p.m. on 26 August. A 51-year-old man is alleged to have harassed several people and tried to hit a 42-year-old man and an 18-year-old man. The blows missed or were blocked, and no one was injured.
According to police, the man was carrying a machete and had allegedly thrown it at the 42-year-old's feet. The machete was seized. The 51-year-old was taken into custody and threatened a police officer while being taken to the station. Police are investigating suspected assault, threats and a violation of weapons law.
