Three injured after suspected stabbing attack in Bielefeld
Three people were injured with one or more stabbing tools during a confrontation between two groups in the early hours of 19 July in the car park of a nightclub on Duisburger Straße in Bielefeld-Brackwede. A teenager suffered a serious lung injury, underwent emergency surgery and was in life-threatening condition, police said. A 20-year-old man and a 23-year-old man received treatment for superficial stab and cut injuries. Three suspects, including a minor and two 18-year-olds, were provisionally detained after a search in an adjacent allotment garden. Prosecutors and the homicide unit are investigating an attempted homicide; the background to the incident remains under investigation.
