Two teenagers injured in suspected machete attack in Berlin
Two teenagers reportedly sustained cuts after being attacked with a machete during an altercation between two groups in Volkspark Mariendorf. According to the information available, the dispute escalated at around 20:30 on 1 July at the Alt-Mariendorf/Am Heidefriedhof intersection after the pair, who were with about five friends, were allegedly approached by another group of teenagers. Someone from the unknown group reportedly drew a machete. Fire service personnel treated the injured teenagers before they were taken to different hospitals. Criminal police investigations are continuing.
