Man seriously injured in knife attack in Düsseldorf
A 45-year-old man was seriously injured in a knife attack on Dorotheenstraße in Düsseldorf's Flingern Nord district at around 22:50 on 1 July 2026. Police said he had been accompanied by two other people when he became involved in a dispute with an unknown suspect. The suspect is alleged to have made repeated cutting and stabbing motions at the man before inflicting serious injuries to his upper body. The injured man and his companions fended off further attacks before the suspect fled. Officers provided first aid until emergency services arrived, while the initial search for the suspect was unsuccessful.
