Man arrested after stabbing and alleged knife robbery
A man was seriously injured in the neck at a bus stop on Sonnenallee in Berlin-Neukölln early on 14 May. According to the information available, a man allegedly attacked him after he had declined a request for a cigarette. The victim underwent surgery and received intensive care; his condition remained critical, although police said there was no acute danger to his life.
Hours later, the suspect allegedly asked a woman for cigarettes at a stop on Glogauer Straße. After she refused, he is alleged to have demanded money from her while displaying a knife on an M29 bus. The woman was unharmed and alerted the driver, who called police. Officers arrested the man on the bus at a stop on Pannierstraße. He was due to be brought before an investigating judge.
