Man fends off knife attack in Mainz
On 15 May, a 34-year-old man tried to intervene in a loud argument involving a young couple on a footpath between Römisches Theater station and a supermarket on Holzhofstraße in Mainz. The as-yet unidentified suspect first confronted him verbally, grabbed him by the collar and drew a knife. The man fended off the knife attack, fled the scene uninjured, and police are seeking witnesses.
