Man seriously injured in Berlin robbery

Two unidentified suspects allegedly drew a 28-year-old man and his companion into an argument in Berlin's Baruther Straße on the evening of 24 August. One of the suspects reportedly displayed a knife. The pair allegedly forced the 28-year-old to the ground on Mehringdamm, restrained him with a chokehold, kicked him in the head and stole valuables from him. He suffered a facial fracture and was admitted to hospital for inpatient treatment. The suspects fled towards Baruther Straße and were not found during a police search.
