Man threatens two railway employees with utility knife in Berlin

A man reportedly threatened two Deutsche Bahn employees with a utility knife at Europaplatz in Berlin at about 2:30 p.m. on 22 June after they declined his request for a cigarette. He had allegedly insulted the two employees beforehand. The man then fled into Berlin Central Station, where federal police provisionally detained him on an S-Bahn platform. The utility knife was found in the track area and secured after the tracks were closed. Federal police are investigating on suspicion of making threats and insult; the man was released after police measures were completed.
