Man allegedly tried to stab mediator with screwdriver in Bamberg
Two men are in pre-trial detention following a dispute at a petrol station on Memmelsdorfer Straße in Bamberg. The men, aged 46 and 50, had begun arguing shortly before 7 a.m. on Friday. When a 43-year-old tried to intervene, the 46-year-old is alleged to have kicked him in the chest and then repeatedly tried to stab him with a screwdriver during a struggle. The 43-year-old suffered no stab wounds but was slightly injured in the altercation. The 50-year-old is alleged to have then kicked the 46-year-old while he was on the ground. Detention orders were issued for both men; the investigation includes suspected attempted homicide and dangerous bodily harm.
