Woman remanded in custody after knife attack in Bamberg

A 41-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries after an altercation at a flat in Bamberg. Investigators say that a 21-year-old acquaintance allegedly stabbed him several times with a kitchen knife during an argument that had initially been verbal. The man left the flat, and neighbours called emergency services after hearing him call for help. Paramedics took him to hospital with multiple stab wounds, where he underwent emergency surgery; he is no longer considered to be in life-threatening condition. The suspect was arrested at the scene and has been remanded in custody on suspicion of attempted manslaughter and dangerous bodily harm.
