19-year-old injured in attack at Frankenthal's Metznerpark
A 19-year-old was attacked by several men at Metznerpark in Frankenthal on 15 February. Police and prosecutors said that a 25-year-old man and four other men approached the young adult, with three of them assaulting him. Baseball bats and, allegedly, a stabbing or cutting implement were among the items said to have been used. The victim suffered a non-life-threatening stab wound to the upper body and bruising and was admitted to hospital. The suspects fled the park. Initial searches for the weapon and those involved were unsuccessful, and the investigation is continuing.
