Two injured in knife attack in Augsburg
An attempted homicide followed a verbal dispute at Helmut-Haller-Platz in Augsburg on 16 August. A 19-year-old suspect is alleged to have thrown a bottle at a 40-year-old man, causing slight injuries. A 46-year-old suspect then allegedly attacked a woman and a man with a knife; the woman was slightly injured and the man suffered life-threatening injuries. Both suspects initially fled towards the station building but were provisionally arrested. A detention order for attempted manslaughter was issued and executed against the 46-year-old, while the 19-year-old was released after police measures.
