Man held in pre-trial detention after Wuppertal knife attack
A 34-year-old man is suspected of pulling a kitchen knife after an argument at Wupperpark-Ost in Wuppertal on 9 August and stabbing a 24-year-old man several times. The victim sustained stab and cut wounds and received inpatient hospital treatment. The suspect allegedly fled the scene. Police arrested him in central Elberfeld on 15 August following a search, and he is now in pre-trial detention.
