Passers-by threatened with knife in Wülfrath
A 24-year-old man is alleged to have threatened several randomly passing people with a knife in central Wülfrath on Monday evening. Police said this happened at around 10 p.m. near a taxi rank on Goethestraße. A taxi driver alerted police, who located the suspect and provisionally detained him minutes later. The man is alleged to have thrown the knife into bushes before officers found and seized it. Nobody was injured. He was released after initial criminal-investigation measures, and proceedings were initiated against him.
