Woman seriously injured in stabbing in Wörrstadt
A 38-year-old woman was seriously injured at her home in Wörrstadt on the evening of 10 July. According to investigators, a 39-year-old man is alleged to have stabbed her in the upper body at about 9 p.m. for reasons that remain unclear. She was not considered to be in danger of death at the time of the report. The woman left the apartment with her adult daughter and called for help.
The suspect initially fled. He was later provisionally arrested at his home, and an investigating judge issued a remand order on the prosecutor's application on suspicion of attempted murder. The accused is in a correctional facility and the investigation continues.
