Woman injured after dispute involving kitchen knife
Police are investigating after a dispute between a married couple in the Winnweiler collective municipality. The husband had called police himself and said that he had injured his wife. She was later found at a neighbour's home, heavily intoxicated and with, among other injuries, bleeding wounds to her shoulder.
Paramedics treated her and took her to hospital. During initial interviews, both people said that a kitchen knife had been used in the dispute, although their accounts of the precise sequence differed. The husband was provisionally arrested.
