Man remanded in custody after stabbing in Winnenden
A 34-year-old man allegedly stabbed a 21-year-old man with a kitchen knife during a dispute between two residents of accommodation in Winnenden on Monday evening. The altercation took place on a footpath behind the accommodation on Albertviller Straße.
According to police, the injured man defended himself, fled by bicycle and then went to a clinic. He underwent emergency surgery and was no longer in danger to life at the time of reporting. The suspect was arrested that night. A judge ordered the requested pre-trial detention on Wednesday, and the man was taken to prison.
