Man threatens emergency responders with knife in Wiesbaden

A 31-year-old man threatened emergency responders with a fixed-blade knife on Friday evening on Bleichstraße in Wiesbaden. The responders had been called after an altercation involving the man and his 56-year-old father, during which an uninvolved witness was reportedly attacked by both men. While receiving first aid, the man took the knife from his jacket pocket and advanced threateningly towards the responders.

Emergency personnel and police subdued and disarmed him. The man and the deployed personnel were not injured. The father and son were taken to a police station for further measures; an arrest warrant was outstanding for the son, who was admitted to a correctional facility the following day.
