Man robbed at knifepoint during meeting in Wiesbaden

A 56-year-old man was robbed during a meeting with an online acquaintance in Wiesbaden on 11 April. Police said he drove with the man he had arranged to meet in an SUV to a field near Kloppenheim, where the acquaintance threatened him with a knife and demanded valuables. The victim handed over a phone and a tablet.

The group then travelled to a bank branch, picking up another suspect on the way. The 56-year-old was reportedly further threatened and physically assaulted. At about 3 p.m., when a forced cash withdrawal was to take place, one suspect caused a crash with the victim's SUV near Wandersmannstraße. The two men fled on foot towards Berliner Straße. The victim sustained minor injuries and criminal police are investigating.
