Jogger injured with kitchen knife in Wetzlar
An unidentified man allegedly injured a 19-year-old jogger in the face with a kitchen knife near the Lahn river in Wetzlar on 7 April. At about 2:40 p.m., the offender is said to have demanded the jogger's wallet on the Niederweide path. When the young man did not comply, the attacker allegedly injured him with the knife, followed by a physical confrontation. The 19-year-old escaped, received treatment from paramedics and was taken to hospital for further assessment. A search for the suspect was unsuccessful and police are seeking witnesses.
