Woman seriously injured with utility knife in Wendlingen
A woman was seriously injured at her home in Wendlingen on Thursday, 24 September. Investigators suspect that her 44-year-old former husband attacked her there without warning with a utility knife. Witnesses called the police, who arrested the man at the scene without resistance and seized the suspected weapon. After emergency treatment, the woman underwent surgery at a hospital. She is not believed to be in life-threatening condition. The man is in pre-trial detention on strong suspicion of attempted homicide; investigators are still examining the motive and the precise sequence of events.
