Woman killed in Wadern; 19-year-old suspect arrested
A 19-year-old man is strongly suspected of stabbing a 45-year-old woman to death in Wadern-Lockweiler; the instrument used has not been specified. At about 22:50 on the evening of 24 September, a tenant found her injured landlady in the entrance area of a residential building and saw a male person flee the building. She called for help, but the woman died at the scene despite resuscitation attempts. Police arrested the 19-year-old nearby during the ensuing search without resistance; he is due to be brought before a judge. According to police, he is believed to be an acquaintance of the deceased woman’s son. Investigators are still examining what happened and why.
