Man injured with knife during altercation in Weißenfels
A 38-year-old man was seriously injured in the forearm during an altercation involving several people on Merseburger Straße in Weißenfels on Sunday evening. Officers found him near the Märchenbrunnen at about 7:25 p.m. with a cut wound and took him to hospital.
According to initial findings, two groups comprising around twelve people had met near an amusement arcade beforehand. Following a loud dispute, an attack involving a knife is alleged to have taken place. Everyone involved then left the area, and criminal police are investigating the background and exact sequence of events.
