Couple injured with kitchen knife at Weilerswist accommodation
At a municipal accommodation facility in Weilerswist, a 66-year-old resident is alleged to have injured a 30-year-old man and his 28-year-old partner with a kitchen knife following an argument during the night of 13 October. Both sustained cuts to the head and upper body and were taken to hospital after receiving initial treatment; neither was in danger of dying. The suspect was provisionally detained that night. A detention warrant was issued, and he is in pre-trial detention. Criminal police are investigating an attempted homicide offence.
