Woman seriously injured by knife stabbing in Weiden
A 30-year-old woman was seriously injured by multiple knife stabs in a shared apartment in the Rehbühl district of Weiden. Investigators say her 31-year-old partner is suspected of attacking her at about noon on 1 August. After several hours, the woman was able to draw neighbours' attention and was then taken to hospital for emergency surgery. She was later reported to be out of danger. The suspected weapon was found in the apartment. The suspect initially fled but was arrested in Thuringia. A judge issued a remand order on suspicion of attempted homicide.
