Man allegedly injures partner with knife in Weiden
A 31-year-old man is alleged to have stabbed his 30-year-old partner several times and seriously injured her at their shared apartment in Weiden in the Upper Palatinate on Saturday afternoon. After several hours, the woman alerted neighbours and was taken to hospital, where she underwent emergency surgery. Police said she is no longer in danger of dying. Following searches in Bavaria, Saxony and Thuringia, the man was arrested in Thuringia on Wednesday afternoon; an investigating judge issued a detention order on suspicion of attempted homicide.
