Threat with folding knife on regional train near Waiblingen

A 21-year-old man is alleged to have threatened a train attendant on 25 August at about 19:30 while travelling on a regional train from Crailsheim towards Stuttgart. According to federal police, the man had been told to leave the train because of alleged disruptive behaviour. He is said to have then taken a folding knife from his backpack and put it in his trouser pocket.

After the train stopped at Waiblingen station, the man allegedly approached the train attendant in a threatening manner and reached towards the knife. A passenger intervened, while the attendant and two other passengers restrained the man. A security patrol then handcuffed him and handed him over to federal police, who opened an investigation on suspicion of making threats.
