Two farm workers injured after knife attack in Varrel
Knives were used during a dispute involving several farm workers in Varrel early on 4 July 2025. Two workers suffered stab and cut wounds and were taken to hospitals. Police could not rule out a risk to the life of a 42-year-old because of the severity of his injuries. A 34-year-old man, who was also injured and in hospital, is being investigated on suspicion of attempted manslaughter. Police cited possible financial problems or debts as the trigger and said investigations into the background and those involved are continuing.
