Knife robbery at petrol station in Umkirch
A masked man is alleged to have entered the sales area of a petrol station on Hauptstraße in Umkirch at about 9:55 p.m. on 24 June. Displaying a knife, he demanded cash and then fled with the proceeds. No one was injured. Police officers provisionally arrested a 21-year-old suspect shortly afterwards on a field path near the scene, where several banknotes were also seized. A judge ordered pre-trial detention the following day.
