Man seriously injured in knife attack in Senden

A 34-year-old man was seriously injured in a knife attack at municipal accommodation on Schulze-Bremer-Straße in Senden at about 11:51 a.m. on 24 June. According to initial findings, the two residents had first become involved in a verbal dispute. A 26-year-old man is then alleged to have attacked and injured the 34-year-old in the head with a knife.

The injured man fled the facility and sought refuge in a public authority building, while the alleged attacker followed him. Police officers arrested the 26-year-old there. Emergency personnel took the seriously injured man to hospital; his injuries were not life-threatening. A homicide investigation unit is investigating, and the accused man was due to be brought before a judge considering pre-trial detention.
