Two men injured in knife attack at Ulm electronics store
Two men were injured in a knife attack at an electronics store on Blaubeurer Straße in Ulm on 14 January. A 29-year-old man is alleged to have attacked them with a knife at about 12:30. A 25-year-old suffered life-threatening injuries and is receiving intensive care, while a 22-year-old was slightly injured. After the attack, the suspect left the store and was found nearby by police officers shortly afterwards. Police said he threatened the officers with the knife he was still carrying and did not comply with requests to drop his weapons, after which officers fired at him. He was seriously injured and taken to hospital. The investigation into the knife attack continues, and a detention warrant is to be sought.
