Man threatens vendor with knife in Uelzen
A man allegedly threatened a vendor with a knife and demanded cash at a mobile food stall on St.-Viti-Straße in Uelzen at about 2:30 p.m. on 6 May. The vendor had handed him a meal shortly beforehand. The vendor fled to a nearby shop, while the man left in the direction of the railway station.
During the search, police found the 42-year-old on a train at Uelzen station and provisionally detained him. Officers found a pocketknife, boxed perfumes and two pairs of headphones; police believe the latter items had previously been stolen. Initial findings indicate that the pocketknife recovered was not the knife used in the threat.
