Man threatens witness with knife after theft in Uelzen
A 39-year-old man allegedly stole a jacket outside a shop on Lüneburger Straße in Uelzen on 16 April. When a witness tried to stop him, the man allegedly threatened the witness with a knife, police said. The suspect initially fled but was found with the jacket during the search and provisionally arrested. Following a hearing before a judge, he was taken to a correctional facility.
